Cheshire packs an unusual amount of variety into one county. Inside a half-hour drive you can go from a Georgian townhouse on a Chester conservation street to a gated detached home in Alderley Edge to a farmhouse at the end of an unmade lane. Those are three different jobs, and quoting them the same way is how people end up disappointed.

Period and timber-framed property
The county has a great deal of it — Chester's black-and-white frontages, Georgian townhouses, Victorian villas and the older village stock. Why does the property type change the price?
Because it changes the work. A modern Warrington semi with a driveway loads in a fraction of the time a four-floor Georgian townhouse on a conservation street does, even at the same volume. We quote the job rather than the bedroom count.
Will one vehicle do it?
On most family housing, yes. On a large detached home with an annexe, a garage and a garden store, rarely. The survey settles it before you book, not on the morning.

Do you handle high-value contents?
Regularly — this county has a lot of them. Declare anything genuinely valuable at survey so cover is arranged and confirmed in writing before you book, and expect us to recommend cases or crates for anything that should not travel under a blanket.
